1. What Ridiculousness Is

Ridiculousness is an AI-powered meme generator.
You type a short idea, and our system generates a PG-safe, share-ready meme image, sometimes with AI-generated captions and layouts.

Key things to know:

• The Service is designed for family-friendly / PG-safe content.
• You can use generated memes online (for example on social media, chats, or presentations).
• Some features, such as higher resolution images, priority generation, or additional styles, may only be available on paid plans.

The exact features available to you depend on the plan you choose and the features we make available at that time.

2. Who May Use the Service

To use Ridiculousness, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old (or older if required by the laws in your country); and
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract; or
• Use the Service with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. Your Account

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information;
• Keep your login credentials confidential;
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account;
• Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may close or suspend your account if we reasonably believe:

• You have violated these Terms;
• Your account is being used for illegal or harmful activities; or
• We must do so to comply with law or with payment provider rules.

4. Plans, Credits, and Billing

4.1 Credits

Ridiculousness uses a credit system for AI image generation.

• Each generation consumes a certain number of credits.
• The number of credits used per image, and the number of credits included in each plan, are shown on the Pricing page or checkout screen at the time of purchase.
• Credits are linked to your account and cannot be transferred or resold.

Unless we tell you otherwise at the time of purchase or promotion:

• Paid one-time credit packs do not expire for at least twelve (12) months from the date of purchase.
• Subscription credits apply to the billing period in which they are issued and do not roll over to future periods once that period ends.
• Free, trial, or promotional credits may have shorter expiry periods, and any specific expiry date or rules will be shown in the relevant promotion or offer.

4.2 Free Trial and Promotional Credits

We may offer free credits, trial periods, or other promotions.
These are for evaluation and personal use only and may be:

• Limited in time or usage;
• Withdrawn or changed at any time; or
• Subject to additional conditions shown in the promotion.

4.3 Paid Plans and Subscriptions

We offer one-time credit packs and/or recurring subscription plans (“Paid Plans”).

When you purchase a Paid Plan:

• You authorize our payment providers (such as Stripe or Creem) to charge the payment method you provide for all applicable fees, taxes, and any recurring charges.
• For subscriptions, fees are charged in advance for each billing period.

Subscription details (price, billing frequency, included credits, etc.) are shown at checkout and/or on the Pricing page.

We may change plan prices or features in the future.
If we change subscription prices, we will notify you in advance and give you an opportunity to cancel before the change takes effect.

4.4 Payments Processed by Third Parties

Payments for the Service are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe or Creem (acting as merchant of record in some cases).

This means:

• Your payment information is handled and stored by those providers, not by us directly.
• You must comply with any applicable terms of those providers when you complete a purchase.
• Any applicable taxes, fees, or currency conversion may be handled according to those providers’ policies.

We are not responsible for errors caused by payment providers, but we will reasonably assist you in resolving payment issues.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

Our general policy is:

• One-time credit purchases: Non-refundable once credits have been added to your account, except where we are required by law to provide a refund or where we choose to do so at our discretion.
• Subscriptions: You may cancel a subscription at any time.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We generally do not issue partial refunds for unused time in the current period, unless required by law.

We may, at our discretion, issue refunds or credit adjustments in cases of a confirmed technical error on our side, for example:

• you were charged but no credits were added to your account;
• credits were deducted but no image was generated and the error was caused by our systems (not by your connection or device);
• you were charged twice for the same purchase.

We will review these situations on a case-by-case basis and may ask you for additional information (such as timestamps or screenshots) to investigate.

If a charge is reversed or refunded by the payment provider after the refund is processed:

• We may deduct the corresponding credits from your account; and
• We may suspend or limit your access if we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, or repeated chargebacks.

Specific refund or cancellation terms displayed at checkout or on the Pricing page will apply and will take priority over this general summary where they conflict.

6. Your Content and Generated Content

6.1 Prompts and Uploads

You may provide text prompts and, in some cases, upload content (such as text, images, or other materials) to be used by the Service (“User Content”).
You are responsible for:

• Making sure you have all rights needed to use the User Content; and
• Ensuring it complies with these Terms and applicable law.

6.2 Generated Content

Our Service uses AI models to generate memes and images (“Generated Content”) based on your prompts and settings.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and any applicable law:

• You own the rights in the Generated Content as between you and us; and
• You may use the Generated Content for personal and commercial purposes.

You are responsible for making sure your use of Generated Content:

• Does not violate any third-party rights (for example, trademarks or likeness rights); and
• Complies with the rules of platforms where you share the content (for example, social media policies).

6.3 License You Grant to Us

By using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Use, store, process, and display your prompts, User Content, and Generated Content as necessary to provide and improve the Service;
• Use aggregated and anonymized data to analyze performance and improve models and features.

If we offer a public gallery or sharing features and you choose to opt in, you also grant us permission to display your selected Generated Content publicly in our gallery, marketing materials, or examples, until you withdraw that permission or delete the content (subject to reasonable technical limits).

7. Acceptable Use and Content Rules

You agree not to use Ridiculousness to create, upload, or share content that:

• Is illegal, fraudulent, or intended to promote illegal activities;
• Is hateful, harassing, or incites violence or discrimination;
• Contains explicit sexual content, nudity, or other adult material;
• Exploits or harms children;
• Infringes any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• Includes malware, phishing, or any harmful code;
• Attempts to reverse engineer, probe, or bypass the security of the Service or underlying models;
• Uses bots or automation in a way that overloads or abuses the Service.

We may remove content or restrict your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these rules, or if required by law or by our payment providers.

8. Service Availability and Changes

We aim to keep Ridiculousness available and functioning reliably, but:

• We do not guarantee the Service will be available at all times;
• We may temporarily suspend or limit the Service for maintenance, security, or technical reasons;
• We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time.

If we make a change that significantly reduces the core functionality of a paid subscription, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

Ridiculousness may integrate or interact with third-party services, such as:

• Payment providers (e.g., Stripe, Creem);
• Hosting and storage providers;
• Analytics and logging tools.

Your use of such third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for those third-party services, but we try to work only with reputable providers.

10. Disclaimers

The Service and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we:

• Do not make warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of Generated Content;
• Do not promise that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure; and
• Do not guarantee specific results, views, or engagement for any memes or content you create.

You are responsible for evaluating whether Generated Content is appropriate and lawful to use in your particular situation.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
• Our total liability for any claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of:
  • The amount you paid to us for the Service in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • USD $50 (or equivalent).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability.
In those cases, these limitations apply only to the extent allowed by the laws of your jurisdiction.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ridiculousness and its owners, partners, and service providers from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the Service;
• Your User Content or Generated Content;
• Your violation of these Terms or of any applicable law or regulation.

13. Term and Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or close your account, if:

• You materially or repeatedly violate these Terms;
• We are required to do so by law, by a regulator, or by a payment provider; or
• We choose to discontinue the Service entirely.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

Upon termination:

• Your right to access the Service ends; and
• Some provisions of these Terms, by their nature, will continue to apply (for example, sections about payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability).

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco, California, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction that grants you mandatory consumer rights or dispute mechanisms, those rights remain unaffected.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.
When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the “Last updated” date at the top; and
• Take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by email or by a notice on the website).

If you continue to use the Service after the new Terms take effect, you are deemed to have accepted the updated Terms.
