1. Getting Started

1.1 What is Ridiculousness?

Ridiculousness is a PG-safe, AI-powered meme generator. You type a short idea, choose a style, and we generate a share-ready meme image for you.

You can use Ridiculousness to:

  • Turn random thoughts into memes in seconds
  • Test ideas for posts, replies, or comments
  • Get inspiration from our gallery and remix your own versions

1.2 How do I create my first meme?

  1. Go to the Image Generation page.
  2. Type a short idea, situation, or punchline in the prompt box.
  3. (Optional) Adjust style, aspect ratio, or advanced settings if available.
  4. Click Generate.
  5. Wait a moment while the AI does its thing.
  6. When it's ready, you can:
    • Download the meme
    • Copy it to your clipboard (if your browser supports it)
    • Save it to your gallery (if the option is shown)

2. Credits and Plans

2.1 What are credits?

Credits are the "coins" you spend when generating memes.

  • Each generation uses a certain number of credits (shown on the UI).
  • Your current balance is shown near the top-right of the app after you log in.
  • When a generation is successful, credits are deducted.
  • If a generation fails for a technical reason on our side, we aim not to charge you for it or to fix your balance.

2.2 How can I get credits?

You can get credits in several ways:

  • Free or trial credits – sometimes we give new users or promotions a small amount of free credits to try the Service.
  • One-time credit packs – you buy a fixed bundle of credits once.
  • Subscriptions – a plan that renews automatically (for example, monthly or yearly) and adds credits to your account each billing period.

The exact amounts and prices are shown on the Pricing page and at checkout.

2.3 Do credits expire?

In general:

  • Paid one-time credit packs
Do not expire for at least 12 months from the date of purchase, unless we clearly say otherwise at checkout.
  • Subscription credits
Are tied to the billing period (for example, "this month").
Do not roll over to the next period once that period ends.
  • Free, trial, or promotional credits
May have shorter expiry periods or special rules.
Any specific rules will be shown in the promotion or offer.

For the full legal version, please see the Terms of Service.

2.4 What happens if my subscription is canceled?

  • When you cancel a subscription, you keep access and any remaining subscription credits until the end of the current billing period.
  • After that, the subscription stops renewing, and new subscription credits are no longer added.
  • You can still use any valid one-time credit packs you have left.

3. Gallery, Privacy, and Sharing

3.1 Are my memes public by default?

We aim to give you clear control over where your memes appear.

  • Memes you generate are primarily for you.
  • In some places, you may see an option like "Add to public gallery" or similar.
    • If you turn this on, selected memes may be shown to other users or visitors.
    • If you leave it off, we won't add those images to any public gallery.

We may still store your images on our servers to show them back to you, enforce our content rules, and improve the Service.
For details, see the Privacy Policy.

3.2 Can I use the memes outside Ridiculousness?

Yes — subject to the rules in our Terms of Service:

  • You own the rights to the memes generated for you as between you and us.
  • You're responsible for how you use them (for example, on social networks or in commercial projects).
  • You must respect other people's rights and follow platform rules where you post the content.

3.3 Can you remove content from the gallery?

Yes. We may remove or hide content that:

  • Violates our content rules (for example, illegal, hateful, or NSFW material);
  • Appears to misuse other people's rights; or
  • Has been reported and reasonably appears harmful.

If you want us to review or remove a specific item, please contact us and include:

  • A link or screenshot of the content
  • A short explanation of the issue

4. Billing, Payments, and Refunds

4.1 Who processes payments?

Payments for Ridiculousness are handled by trusted third-party providers such as Stripe and/or Creem.

  • Your card details are processed by those providers, not stored in full on our servers.
  • You may see their names on receipts, invoices, or card statements.

4.2 Are purchases refundable?

In general:

  • One-time credit packs
Are non-refundable once credits have been added to your account, except where required by law or where we decide to help in a specific case.
  • Subscriptions
You can cancel at any time.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We normally do not provide partial refunds for unused time in the current period, unless required by law.

If a payment clearly failed on our side (for example you were charged but got no credits), contact us with the details and we'll investigate.

For the full legal policy, please see the Terms of Service.

5. Content Rules and Safety

Ridiculousness is meant for PG-safe, fun, and creative memes.

Please do not use the Service to create or share content that is:

  • Illegal or promotes illegal activities
  • Hateful, harassing, or incites violence
  • Explicitly sexual or adult
  • Exploiting or harming children
  • Infringing on other people's rights (for example, copyright, trademarks, or likeness rights)

We may limit your access or remove content if we reasonably believe it breaks these rules or our Terms of Service.

If you see content that looks clearly unsafe or inappropriate in a gallery or shared context, please let us know.

6. Troubleshooting and Common Issues

6.1 My meme generation failed or got stuck

Try the following:

  1. Refresh the page and try again.
  2. Check your internet connection.
  3. Make sure you're still logged in and have enough credits.
  4. If the issue continues, note the approximate time and any error message, then contact us.

If a failure was caused by a technical issue on our side, we'll do our best to fix it and adjust your credits where appropriate.

6.2 I can't see my previous images

  • Make sure you're logged in with the same account you used before.
  • Check any "My Images", "History", or "Gallery" sections in the app.
  • If you still can't find them, send us a message with:
    • The email address you use for your account
    • Approximate date and time of the missing generations

6.3 My payment went through but I didn't get credits

Please:

  1. Check your email for a payment receipt from Stripe, Creem, or your payment provider.
  2. Take a screenshot of the receipt or transaction details.
  3. Contact us with:
    • The email linked to your Ridiculousness account
    • The plan or pack you purchased
    • The time and date of the payment

We will investigate and either apply the credits or explain what happened.
